Nearing retirement I thought I’d treat myself to a new car. Walked into an empty showroom. Salesman explained the global chip shortage meant few cars and placing an order would be a non negotiable price, require a KD 5,000 non refundable deposit and take 12-16 months for delivery. He asked for my number and I haven’t heard a peep from him since. That was almost 4 months ago.
